Based on PDRM & Fire Department (BOMBA) safety protocols.
Always keep a safety radius of at least 6-8 meters between the fireworks and any spectators or vehicles.
Ignite on flat, open ground. NEVER light fireworks indoors, on balconies, or near dry grass and flammable materials.
NEVER hold lit fireworks in your hand unless they are specifically designed as handheld sparklers. Place them on the ground.
Children should never be allowed to light fuses. An adult must always be present to supervise and manage the ignition.
If a firework fails to ignite, NEVER check it immediately. Wait 15 minutes, then douse it with water from a safe distance.
Always have a fire extinguisher or water bucket nearby. Use the PASS technique (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep) to extinguish small fires immediately before they spread.
